Removal Procedure

- Install the engine support fixture. Refer to Engine Support Fixture .
- Remove the engine mount. Refer to Engine Mount Replacement .
- Raise the engine enough to allow clearance for the oil pan removal.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Place a drain pan under the oil pan drain plug.
- Remove the oil pan drain plug.
- Drain the engine oil.
- Remove the engine drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement .
- Remove the lower AC compressor bolt and loosen the upper bolts.
- Remove the 4 oil pan to transaxle bolts (1).
- Remove the oil pan bolts.
- Remove the oil pan
- Remove any old oil pan sealant (1).
