Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the drive belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement .
  2. Remove the crankshaft balancer. Refer to Crankshaft Balancer Replacement .
  3. Remove the engine front cover bolts.

  5. Remove the engine front cover to water pump bolt.

  7. Remove and discard the engine front cover gasket.
  8. Remove the crankshaft front cover oil seal with an appropriate tool.
  9. Remove and discard the friction washer.
