Engine Flywheel Installation (Manual Transmission)

  1. Install the clutch pilot bearing for manual transmission. Refer to Clutch Pilot Bearing Replacement .
  2. Install the flywheel (1).
  3. Install the NEW bolts.
  4. Install J 43653:  tool in the starter assembly location, engaging the flywheel, in order to prevent crankshaft rotation.
  5. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  6. Tighten the flywheel bolts to 53 N.m (39 lb ft), plus 25 degrees, using J 45059:  meter.
