Steering Wheel Replacement

Callout Component Name
Preliminary Procedure: 
Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement .
1 Steering Wheel Horn Contact Bolt (Qty: 3)
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  8 N.m (71 lb in)

2 Steering Wheel Horn Contact
Procedure: 
Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
3 Steering Wheel Nut

Tighten:  40 N.m (30 lb ft)

4 Steering Wheel

Procedure

  1. Use puller J 1859-A  and puller legs J 42578  to remove the steering wheel. See Special Tools .
  2. Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
