Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fastener (1) from the lower lock pillar garnish molding. Sedan shown, coupe similar. Fold the garnish trim away from the latch.

  3. Remove the latch bolts.

  5. Disengage the clip holding the latch release handle to the rear compartment shelf.
  6. Remove the rosebud fastener which retains the latch cable to the rear compartment shelf.

  8. Remove the grommet from the sheet metal.
  9. Pull the latch assembly into the passenger compartment.
  10. Remove the latch assembly from the vehicle.
