    NOTE: You must use the J 41102-1A:  seal installer in order to install the seal correctly. The J 41102-1A:  seal installer installs the axle seal to a given depth.
  1. Install a new side cover axle seal (2) into the side cover. Use the J 41102-1A:  seal installer with the J 8092:  driver handle.
  2. In order to prevent damage to the shaft splines during vehicle operation, add Polyurea grease (part number 7843867) to the splines on the output shaft.
