J 42067  Rear Main Seal Installer

  1. Remove excess sealer from seal recess.
  2. Make sure the crankshaft rear chamfer is free of grit, loose rust, and burrs. Correct as needed.
  3. Apply a very light film of oil onto the crankshaft sealing surface. DO NOT apply oil to the sealing surface of the engine block.
  4. Using the J 42067  , press the new crankshaft seal into the housing. The J 42067  also establishes the depth of the seal in the crankshaft seal bore.
