Removal Procedure

- Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (LNF) or Catalytic Converter Replacement (LAP) .
- To aid in removal, spray a non petroleum based lubricant onto the insulators.
- Remove the insulators from the resonator pipe and the muffler.
- Using a suitable jack stand for support, lower the resonator pipe and the muffler for clearance.
- Drill out and remove the 4 heat shield rivets (1).
- Remove the heat shield nut (2).
- Remove the heat shield.
