Installation Procedure

  1. Position the heat shield to the underbody.
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the heat shield nut (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  4. Install 4 NEW heat shield rivets (1).

  6. To aid in installation, spray a non petroleum based lubricant onto the insulators.
  7. Raise the resonator pipe and the muffler to the insulators and attach.
  8. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (LNF)  or Catalytic Converter Replacement (LAP) .
