Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the catalytic converter to exhaust manifold nuts.
  2. Remove the catalytic converter.
  3. Discard the exhaust gaskets.
  4. Clean the flange mating surfaces of any remaining gasket material.

  6. Install a NEW gasket onto the resonator pipe studs.
  7. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  8. Install the catalytic converter to the resonator pipe nuts and tighten to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
  9. Install the (HO2S). Refer to Heated Oxygen Sensor Replacement - Sensor 2 .
  10. Install the wheel drive shaft heat shield. Refer to Front Wheel Drive Shaft Joint Boot Shield Replacement .
  11. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks.
