Conditions for Setting the DTC

- The ECM detects a deviation in the relationship between a camshaft and the crankshaft. The ECM detects the learned camshaft angle is greater than 10 degrees advanced or 10 degrees retarded in relationship to the crankshaft.
OR
- The ECM detects the actual camshaft angle is advanced 15 degrees or retarded 21 degrees in relationship to the camshaft parked/reference position.
