WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Pontiac G5 and 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the blower motor resistor.
- Ignition ON, verify that a test lamp illuminates between B+ and the corresponding control circuit terminal listed below while selecting the Low, Medium 1, Medium 2 and High speed positions:
- Low control terminal D
- M1 control terminal A
- M2 control terminal B
- High control terminal C
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the appropriate control circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the HVAC control module.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the blower motor resistor.
