Shift Linkage Disassemble

  1. Remove the shift linkage assembly from the clutch housing case.
  2. Pull the shift position mechanism and the shift shafts partially away from the shift control bracket assembly. Partial extraction of the shift shafts provides considerable end play during removal of the gear shift mechanism.

  4. Remove the gear shift mechanism from the shift control bracket assembly.

  6. Remove the shift shaft assemblies from the shift control bracket assembly.

  8. Tap out the remaining pins in order to disassemble the shift shaft fork and/or shift shaft blocks from the shift shafts.

  10. Remove the lock ring.
  11. Remove the tension spring.
  12. Remove the roll pin and dual interlock from the shaft.
  13. Remove the gear position guide from the shaft.
