Removal Procedure

  1. It is only necessary to lower the headliner. Only do those steps in the headliner replacement procedure that will lower the headliner enough to gain access to the part. Refer to Headlining Trim Panel Replacement .
  2. Fig 1: Sunroof Drain Hose

  3. Remove the front drain hose from the sunroof module.
  4. Disengage the sunroof drain hose from the attachment points on the windshield pillar.
  5. Remove the carpet retainer. Refer to Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement (Coupe) or Front Side Door Opening Floor Carpet Retainer Replacement (Sedan) .
  6. Pull back the front lower insulator.
  7. Remove the hinge pillar inner insulators to gain access to the front drain hose routing area inside the hinge pillar below the I/P.
  8. Pull the front drain hose out of the front lower hinge pillar.
  9. Tie a 3-foot length of string onto the lower end of the front drain hose.
  10. Remove the hose through the top of the I/P. Do NOT pull the string all of the way out.
  11. Disconnect the string from the hose.
