Removal Procedure

Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .

Remove and discard the brake drum retainers (1), if equipped.

Remove the brake drum (1).
If reinstalling the brake drum, use the J-41013: Rotor Resurfacing Kit to clean the wheel hub flange mating surface of the brake drum of any corrosion.
