Installation Procedure
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Pontiac G5 and 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Assemble the brake hose fitting bolt (1) with 2 new brake hose fitting gaskets (2) to the brake hose (3).
- Install the brake hose assembly to the caliper.
Tighten: Tighten the brake hose fitting bolt to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
- Install the front brake hose bracket bolt (1).
Tighten: Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Connect the front brake pipe fitting (1).
Tighten: Tighten the fitting to 19 N.m (14 lb ft).
- Bleed the hydraulic brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Rear Brake Caliper - Cobalt SS) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual) or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
