Removal Procedure

- Remove the steering column opening filler. Refer to Steering Column Opening Filler Replacement .
- Release the electric power steering wiring harness from the brake pedal bracket.
- Release the accelerator pedal position sensor jumper harness from the brake pedal bracket.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the accelerator pedal position sensor.
- Remove the brake pedal pushrod nut (1).
- Remove the brake pedal pushrod washer (1).
- Remove the brake pedal pushrod from the brake pedal pivot pin.
- Remove the vacuum brake booster nuts (1).
- Remove the brake pedal bracket-to-steering column bracket bolt.
- Lower the brake pedal assembly and disconnect the brake pedal position sensor electrical connector.
- Remove the brake pedal assembly, with the accelerator pedal position sensor from the vehicle.
- Remove the accelerator pedal position sensor mounting bolts and remove the sensor assembly.
