Removal Procedure

    WARNING: To avoid any vehicle damage, serious personal injury or death when major components are removed from the vehicle and the vehicle is supported by a hoist, support the vehicle with jack stands at the opposite end from which the components are being removed and strap the vehicle to the hoist.
  1. Raise the vehicle. Support the vehicle.
  2. Remove the oil pan and filter. Refer to Automatic Transmission Fluid Filter and Seal Replacement .
  3. Remove the oil feed pipes. Refer to Oil Feed Pipes Replacement .

  5. Remove the three low/reverse band servo cover bolts, the servo and the spring.
  6. Disassemble, clean and inspect the low/reverse servo assembly. Refer to Low and Reverse Servo Disassemble .
