Shift Cable Adjustment

  1. Set the parking brake.
  2. Remove the cup holder. Refer to Front Floor Console Cup Holder Replacement .
  3. Fig 1: Shift Cable Retainers

  4. Lift and unlock the shift cable retainers.
  5. Fig 2: Shifter Neutral Lock Clip

  6. Push the shifter neutral lock clip. Move the shifter slightly in order to center the lock clip.
  7. Ensure that the transmission is in neutral.

  9. Press and lock the shift cable retainers.

  11. Pull the shifter neutral lock clip to its original position.
  12. Install the cup holder. Refer to Front Floor Console Cup Holder Replacement .
