Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 Pontiac G5 and 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
CAUTION: When removing or installing the backup lamp switch, do not use an open end wrench. Use only a socket in order to avoid damage to the switch assembly.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  1. Install the backup lamp switch using pipe sealant. For the sealant part number, refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers .

    Tighten:  Tighten the switch to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  2. Connect the backup lamp connector (1).
  3. Install the left front wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
