Charge Air Cooler Coolant Hose Replacement - Cooler to Radiator

Removal Procedure

1. Drain the charge air cooler coolant system. Refer to Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)

2. Remove upper intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (LS9) Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield ReplacementUpper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (w/o LS9) Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement





3. Disconnect the quick connect fitting (1) at the cooler. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Procedures

4. Remove the charge air cooler coolant hose (2) from the cooler.

5. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle Service and Repair

6. Remove the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Rear Liner) Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Front Liner)





7. Disconnect the quick connect fitting (1) at the radiator.

8. Remove the charge air cooler coolant hose (2) from the radiator.

9. Remove the charge air cooler coolant hose from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the charge air cooler coolant hose to the vehicle.





2. Install the charge air cooler coolant hose (2) to the radiator.

3. Connect the quick connect fitting (1) at the radiator.

4. Install the right front wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Rear Liner) Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Front Liner)

5. Lower the vehicle.





6. Install the charge air cooler coolant hose (2) to the cooler.

7. Connect the quick connect fitting (1) at the cooler. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service Procedures

8. Install upper intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (LS9) Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield ReplacementUpper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement (w/o LS9) Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement

9. Fill the charge air cooler coolant system. Refer to Charge Air Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill)
