CAUTION: Always put an automatic transmission in P (Park) or a manual transmission in N (Neutral) and set the park brake before raising or lowering the convertible top. If you raise or lower the convertible top while the vehicle is in motion, you could damage the top or the top mechanism. CAUTION: Always verify that no objects are in the storage area before lowering the convertible top. Lowering the convertible top when there are objects in the storage area could damage it or break the glass rear window. CAUTION: The positioning of the latches and linkage rods is factory set to allow safe and proper operation of the system. The adjustment is only to be utilized by the manufacturer of the folding top number 1 bow assembly (not repairing technicians). Attempting adjustment may cause the top to not properly latch causing damage to the top or vehicle. Preliminary Procedure Do not remove the number 1 bow, lay the folding top cover back exposing the four screws to remove the garnish molding. Refer to Folding Top Number 1 Bow Replacement .
1	Folding Top Number 1 Bow Garnish Molding Screw CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Remove the assist handle center bezel by pushing upward in the center. Remove the bezel exposing the screw in the center for the garnish molding. Tighten 2 N.m (18 lb in)
2	Folding Top Number 1 Bow Garnish Molding Screw (Qty :4) Tighten 8 N.m (71 lb in)
3	Folding Top Number 1 Bow Garnish Molding
