Removal Procedure

IMPORTANT:

Clean the evaporative emission (EVAP) line connections and surrounding areas prior to disconnecting the fittings in order to avoid possible EVAP system contamination.

  1. Remove the EVAP canister vent solenoid valve. Refer to Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Solenoid Valve Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the EVAP pipe quick connect fitting (3) from the auxiliary EVAP canister. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .

  4. Remove the auxiliary EVAP canister nuts (1).

  6. Remove the auxiliary EVAP canister (1) from the vehicle.
