CAUTION: Use Dexron VI transmission fluid only. Failure to use the proper fluid may result in transmission internal damage. Preliminary Procedures Remove the transfer case. Refer to Transfer Case Assembly Replacement . Place a suitable drain pan under the transmission. Fill the transmission with the proper amount of transmission fluid. Refer to Fluid Capacity Specifications , and Transmission Fluid Level and Condition Check .
1	Rear Case Bolt (Qty: 12) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 27 N.m (20 lb ft)
2	Rear Case TIP: During removal of the Rear Case, use care in order to retain the Sun Gear-3rd Position on the Sun Gear Shaft Assembly-3rd Position.
