Door Lock Striker Adjustment (Impala)

Special Tools

J 39346-A Mini-Wedge Door Striker Aligner

Note: Properly align the door before adjusting the striker.

1. Open the door.




2. Loosen the door striker screws just enough to allow movement of the door striker.
3. Install the J 39346-A .

Note: Do not slam the door.

4. Close the door while holding the outside handle in the open position.
5. Open the door.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

6. Tighten the door lock striker screws.

Tighten the door striker screws to 25 Nm (18 lb ft).

7. Remove the J 39346-A .
8. Close the door.
