Valve Rocker Arm Cover Installation - Left Side

  1. Install NEW valve rocker arm cover grommets and use NEW valve rocker arm cover bolts if they are serviced with the grommet.
  2. NOTE: All gasket-mating surfaces need to be free of oil and foreign material. Clean surfaces. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for recommended cleaner.
  3. Install the valve rocker arm cover gasket into the valve rocker arm cover.

  5. Apply sealer to the surfaces where the cylinder head and intake manifold meet (1). Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for recommended sealant.
  6. Install the valve rocker arm cover.
  7. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  8. Install the valve rocker arm cover bolts, if necessary, and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in)

  10. Install two NEW positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) tube O-rings.

  12. Install the fresh air tube.
