Vehicle Speed Sensor Assemble

    NOTE: Handle the vehicle speed sensor assembly carefully.
  1. Inspect the vehicle speed sensor assembly (10) and the vehicle speed sensor O-ring seal (11) for the following conditions:
    • Damaged connector
    • Cracked housing
    • Signs of rotor damage
    • Cuts or nicks on the O-ring seal
  2. Install a new O-ring seal (11) on the vehicle speed sensor assembly (10).

  3. Install the vehicle speed sensor assembly (10) into the case extension.
    4. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the vehicle speed sensor bolt (9) and tighten to 12 N.m (106 lb in).
