Installation Procedure

  1. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve.
    2. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  2. Remove the EVAP canister purge valve bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 16 N.m (12 lb ft).

  3. Connect the chassis EVAP pipe to the EVAP canister purge solenoid. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  4. Connect the EVAP canister purge solenoid electrical connector (1).
  5. Install the intake manifold cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement .
