Exhaust Manifold Installation (1.6L LDE, LXV, 1.8L 2H0, and LUW)

  1. Clean the exhaust manifold sealing surface.
  2. Install a NEW exhaust manifold gasket to the exhaust manifold.
    3. Fig 1: Exhaust Manifold

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the exhaust manifold (3) and tighten the NEW nuts (4) to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
  4. Install the 2 exhaust manifold bracket bolts (2) to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
