Clutch Pilot Bearing Installation (LS9 Only)

Special Tools

• DT-49805:  Bolts
• J 24420-C:  Crankshaft Balancer Puller
• J 45949:  Pilot Bearing and Flywheel Locator Installer

1. Position the bearing to the rear of the crankshaft.
2. Assemble the J 24420-C:  crankshaft balancer puller (2), the J 45949:  pilot bearing and flywheel locator installer (1), and the DT-49805:  bolts (3) to the rear of the crankshaft.

   Tighten the bolts until snug.

3. Rotate the bolt of the J 24420-C:  crankshaft balancer puller (2) until the bearing is seated in the bore of the crankshaft.
4. Remove the tools.

5. Inspect the clutch pilot bearing for proper installation.
