Fuel Tank
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 GMC Acadia, 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2016 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
The fuel tank stores the fuel supply. The fuel tank is located in the rear of the vehicle. The fuel tank is held in place by 2 metal straps that attach to the underbody of the vehicle. The fuel tank is molded from high-density polyethylene.
In order to provide space for a driveshaft though the center area of the tank, the fuel tank is a saddle configuration. Because of the saddle shape of the tank two fuel tank fuel pump modules are required. The primary fuel tank fuel pump module is located on the left side of the tank. The secondary fuel tank fuel pump module is located on the right side of the tank.
