Rear Window Wiper Arm Replacement (Acadia)

Callout Component Name
1 Rear Wiper Arm Finish Cap
TIP:  Lift up on rearward end of cap to disengage from the rear wiper arm.
2 Rear Window Wiper Arm Nut
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

CAUTION:

This vehicle is equipped with torque-to-yield or single use fasteners. Install a NEW torque-to-yield or single use fastener when installing this component. Failure to replace the torque-to-yield or single use fastener could cause damage to the vehicle or component.

Procedure

  1. Clean the knurls on the pivot shaft prior to installing the arm to the pivot shaft.
  2. Position the arm on the pivot shaft and the wiper blade to the first defroster grid line.
  3. Hold the wiper arm in position while securing the wiper arm nut.

Tighten 
10.5 N.m (93 lb in)
3 Rear Window Washer Nozzle Hose Assembly
Procedure 
Rotate the hose counterclockwise around the end of the rear wiper washer arm, route through the slot in the bezel at the base of the pivot shaft, and attach to the barb before installation of the wiper arm onto the pivot shaft.

5 Rear Window Wiper Arm Blade Assembly
Procedure 
Clean the knurls on the rear wiper motor pivot shaft after the rear wiper arm has been removed.
6 Wiper Motor Pivot Shaft Nut Gasket
TIP:  Use the retention feature built into the gasket in order to secure the washer hose under the wiper arm pivot shaft.
