Circuit/System Testing

Verify the conditions listed below do not exist:
- Air intake duct collapsed or restricted.
- Air filter dirty or restricted.
- Objects blocking the throttle body.
- Excessive fuel in the crankcase. Change engine oil as necessary.
- Rich fuel injectors. Refer to Fuel Injector Solenoid Coil Test .
- High fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel System Diagnosis .
- Contaminated fuel. Refer to Alcohol/Contaminants-in-Fuel Diagnosis .
- Fuel saturation of the evaporative emissions (EVAP) canister
- EVAP purge valve stuck open or leaking
- Restricted exhaust
- Incorrect crankcase ventilation system operation. Refer to Crankcase Ventilation System Inspection/Diagnosis
- If a condition is found
Repair as necessary.
- If no condition is found
Test fuel trim cylinder balance. Refer to DTC P219A or P219B .
