Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 GMC Acadia, 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2016 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly.
- Test for less than 1 Ω between the ground circuit terminal 5 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, verify the scan tool Rear Closure Ajar Sw. parameter is Inactive.
- If not the specified value, test the signal circuit terminal 6 for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- Install a 3A fused jumper wire between the signal circuit terminal 6 and ground. Verify the scan tool Rear Closure Ajar Sw. parameter is Active.
- If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- If all circuits test normal, test or replace the A23C Liftgate Latch Assembly.
