Circuit/System Verification

  1. With the liftgate closed, observe the scan tool Liftgate Latch Pawl, Ratchet, and Sector Switch parameters. Each parameter status should be as listed below:
    • LGM Latch Pawl Sw parameter - Inactive
    • LGM Latch Ratchet Sw. parameter - Inactive
    • Liftgate Latch Sector Switch parameter - Inactive
  2. With the liftgate open, observe the scan tool Liftgate Latch Pawl, Ratchet, and Sector Switch parameters. Each parameter status should be as listed below:
    • LGM Latch Pawl Sw parameter - Active
    • LGM Latch Ratchet Sw. parameter - Active
    • LGM Latch Sector Sw. parameter - Inactive
  3. Sector Switch Test - Close the liftgate allowing the cinch motor to pull the liftgate closed. Observing the scan tool LGM Latch Sector Sw. parameter while the liftgate is being automatically cinched closed; the parameter should change from Inactive to Active then back to Inactive within 10 seconds.
