Circuit/System Description

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 GMC Acadia, 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2016 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The driver and front passenger heated seats are controlled by separate seat heating switches. When a heated seat switch is pressed, ground is momentarily applied through the switch contacts and the switch signal circuit to the seat heating control module. In response to this signal, the module then applies battery voltage through the element supply voltage circuits to the seat cushion and seat back heating elements. The module then supplies a ground through the appropriate indicator control circuits to the seat heating switch illuminating the switch indicators.
