Removal Procedure

- Recover the refrigerant from the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
- Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Remove the right rear inner wheelhouse liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Traverse)Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Enclave)Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Acadia) .
- Remove the exhaust flex pipe. Refer to Exhaust Flexible Pipe Replacement .
- Remove auxiliary evaporator tube nut (1) from the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator.
- Remove auxiliary air conditioning evaporator tubes, (2) from the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator (4).
- Remove auxiliary air conditioning evaporator and heater tube clip nuts (3) and release auxiliary air conditioning evaporator tubes from clips.
- Remove air cleaner duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
- Remove the retaining nuts (1) and the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator tubes (2) from the front air conditioning refrigerant heat exchanger.
- Remove the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator and heater tube assembly retaining nuts (1) from the retaining studs and clips, from the four location along the frame.
- Remove the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator tubes (3) from the clamps (2).
- Remove the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator tubes from the vehicle.
