Removal Procedure

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  3. Remove the right rear inner wheelhouse liner. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Traverse)Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Enclave)Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (Acadia) .
  4. Remove the exhaust flex pipe. Refer to Exhaust Flexible Pipe Replacement .

  6. Remove auxiliary evaporator tube nut (1) from the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator.
  7. Remove auxiliary air conditioning evaporator tubes, (2) from the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator (4).
  8. Remove auxiliary air conditioning evaporator and heater tube clip nuts (3) and release auxiliary air conditioning evaporator tubes from clips.
  9. Remove air cleaner duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .

  11. Remove the retaining nuts (1) and the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator tubes (2) from the front air conditioning refrigerant heat exchanger.

  13. Remove the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator and heater tube assembly retaining nuts (1) from the retaining studs and clips, from the four location along the frame.
  14. Remove the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator tubes (3) from the clamps (2).
  15. Remove the auxiliary air conditioning evaporator tubes from the vehicle.
