Air Conditioning Evaporator Thermal Expansion Valve Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Recover the refrigerant from the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
  2. Remove the air conditioning refrigerant heat exchanger from the air conditioning evaporator thermal expansion valve. Refer to Air Conditioning Refrigerant Heat Exchanger Replacement .
  3. Reposition the power brake booster vacuum and position hose out of the way. Refer to Power Brake Booster Vacuum Check Valve and Hose Replacement .
1 Thermal Expansion Valve Bolt (Qty: 2)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .
2 Sealing Washer (Qty: 2)
NOTE:

Remove and discard the sealing washers and replace with NEW sealing washers. Refer to Air Conditioning System Seal Replacement .
