Liftgate Adjustment (Enclave)

CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

Procedure

  1. Loosen the 4 liftgate hinge bolts to adjust the liftgate.
  2. Adjust the liftgate in order to obtain an even gap between the liftgate and the roof, the quarter outer panel, the liftgate window and rear bumper fascia and so that the liftgate is flush with the roof, the quarter outer panel, the liftgate window and rear bumper fascia.

Adjustment:

  • Liftgate to roof (a) 5.5 mm ± 1.0 mm (0.22 in ± 0.04 in)
  • Liftgate to roof panel (b) 4.0 mm ± 1.0 mm (0.16 in ± 0.04 in)
  • Liftgate window to quarter window (c) 4.0 mm ± 1.0 mm (0.16 in ± 0.04 in)
  • Liftgate to quarter panel (d) 4.0 mm ± 1.0 mm (0.16 in ± 0.04 in)
  • Liftgate to rear bumper fascia (e) 4.0 mm ± 1.0 mm (0.16 in ± 0.04 in)
  • Liftgate to rear bumper fascia (f) 4.0 mm ± 1.0 mm (0.16 in ± 0.04 in)

Tighten 
25 N.m (18 lb ft)
