Front Side Door Upper Hinge and Lower Hinge Replacement

WARNING:

Refer to SIR Warning .

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Disable the supplemental inflatable restraint (SIR) system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
  2. Remove the front side door. Refer to Front Side Door Replacement .
1 Front Side Door Hinge Upper Bolt (Qty: 2)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .

NOTE:

Replace only one hinge at a time.


Tighten 
25 N.m (18 lb ft)
2 Front Side Door Hinge Upper Bolt (Qty: 2)
Tighten 
25 N.m(18 lb ft)
3 Front Side Door Hinge Lower Bolt
NOTE:

After installation of the replacement upper hinge, from the underside of the hinge, remove the temporary keeper pivot bolt and replace with longer permanent bolt.


Tighten 
25 N.m (18 lb ft)
4 Front Side Door Hinge Lower Bolt (Qty: 2)
Tighten 
25 N.m (18 lb ft)
5 Front Side Door Hinge Lower Bolt (Qty: 2)
NOTE:

Check the door for proper alignment, then adjust as necessary.


Tighten 
25 N.m (18 lb ft)
