Preliminary Procedure Remove the console trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Console Cover Replacement .
1	Automatic Transmission Range Select Lever Cable WARNING: After installing the transmission range selector shift cable, pull up and push down on ALL connections to verify that the connections are fully seated and properly engaged. Failure to perform this task can result in the vehicle not being able to shift into PARK causing potential vehicle damage and bodily injury.
2	Automatic Transmission Range Select Lever Cable Retainer
3	Automatic Transmission Control Nut (Qty: 4) CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
4	Automatic Transmission Control Bolt (Qty: 4)
5	Automatic Transmission Control Procedure Disconnect the transmission control electrical connector. For vehicles with push-to-release style solenoid, apply lubricant GM P/N 88861426 (Canadian P/N 88861442) to the tip of the shift control lever.
