Preliminary Procedures Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement . Remove the manual shaft and position switch assembly. Refer to Manual Shift Detent Lever with Shaft Position Switch Assembly Replacement .
1	Manual Shift Shaft Seal Procedure For seal removal use J 45201 cooler line seal remover. For seal installation use J-46626 seal installer. Lubricate the manual shaft with ATF to prevent damage to the manual shift shaft seal. Special Tools J 45201 Cooler Line Seal Remover J-46626 Seal Installer

Manual Shift Shaft Seal

Procedure

For seal removal use J 45201 cooler line seal remover.
For seal installation use J-46626 seal installer.
Lubricate the manual shaft with ATF to prevent damage to the manual shift shaft seal.
