Rear Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (Acadia or Traverse)

1 Rear Side Door Pull Handle Cover

Procedure

  1. The rear side door pull handle cover MUST be replaced every time the pull handle cover is removed for service.
  2. Install the top portion of the pull handle cover first to ensure tabs are lined up and push the cover in firmly.
2 Rear Side Door Inside Handle Bezel Finish Cover
3 Rear Side Door Trim Panel Screw (Qty: 3)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
6 N.m (18 lb in)
4 Rear Side Door Locking Rod Knob Assembly

Procedure

  1. Ensure the locking rod is in the unlocked position.
  2. Use a flat-bladed tool to disengage the detent tab and then remove the knob by pulling upward.
  3. When re-installing, push the knob down until the detent tab touches the locking rod opening cover.
  4. Push the detent tab into the lock knob to locking rod.

6 Rear Side Door Trim Panel Assembly

Procedure

  1. Use a door trim pad removal tool, or equivalent, at each of the 9 retainer locations to aid in the removal of the trim panel.
  2. Disengage the door lock cable.
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. For programming and setup information, refer to Control Module References .
