  1. Ignition ON, verify the Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module Battery Voltage Signal parameter is 9-16 volts.
  2. Ignition OFF, monitor the Instrument Panel Cluster, ignition ON. The SIR warning indicator should turn on and stay on for 8 seconds in the Instrument Panel Cluster for a bulb check.
    • If the SIR warning indicator flashes, program the Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module.
    • If the SIR warning indicator remains on steady after the bulb check, test for DTCs and refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle . If no DTC is current, proceed to the next step.
  3. Perform the Display Test in Instrument Panel Cluster/Special Functions. The Air Bag indicator should turn ON and OFF as commanded.
    • If the air bag indicator does not illuminate as expected, replace the Instrument Panel Cluster.
  4. If all circuits test normal, replace the Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module.
