Headlamp Bulb Replacement (Enclave/Acadia)

WARNING: The high intensity discharge system produces high voltage and current. In order to reduce the risk of severe shocks and burns, the battery negative cable must be disconnected any time service work is being performed on or around the high intensity discharge system. WARNING: The high intensity discharge system produces high voltage and current. To reduce the risk of severe shocks and burns: Never open the high intensity discharge system ballast or the arc tube assembly starter. Never probe between the high intensity discharge system ballast output connector and the arc tube assembly. Preliminary Procedure Remove the front wheelhouse front liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Front Liner Replacement (Acadia, Enclave, Traverse) .

2	Headlamp Bulb Procedure Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp bulb. There is a locking ring that secures the bulb, turn counter clockwise to disengage to remove the bulb, and clockwise to lock when installing the bulb. Once the locking ring is disengaged, slide the bulb rearward to remove from the headlamp.

Procedure

Disconnect the electrical connector from the headlamp bulb.
There is a locking ring that secures the bulb, turn counter clockwise to disengage to remove the bulb, and clockwise to lock when installing the bulb.
Once the locking ring is disengaged, slide the bulb rearward to remove from the headlamp.
