Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the liftgate interior trim panel. Refer to Liftgate Trim Panel Replacement (Acadia) .
  2. Disconnect the backup lamp electrical connector.
  3. Remove the backup lamp applique bulb and socket harness.
  4. Remove the screw (1) securing the body rear mount bracket (2) to the backup lamp applique.
  5. Remove the bracket.

  6. Remove the backup lamp applique nuts (1).

  7. Pull the backup lamp applique (2) from the filler panel outer liftgate.
  8. Remove the backup lamp seal (2).
