Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Replacement

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the instrument panel upper trim pad. Refer to Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement (Acadia w/RPO UV6) Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement (Acadia w/o RPO UV6) Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement (Enclave) Instrument Panel Trim Pad Replacement (Traverse) .
  2. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement (Acadia) Front Floor Console Replacement (Enclave) Front Floor Console Replacement (Traverse) .
  3. Remove the steering column assembly. Refer to Steering Column Replacement .
  4. Remove the hood primary latch release cable handle. Refer to Hood Primary Latch Release Cable Handle Replacement (Acadia, Enclave, Traverse) .
1 Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Bolt (Qty: 6)
CAUTION:

Refer to Fastener Caution .


Tighten 
9 N.m (80 lb in)
2 Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel Bolt (Qty: 20)
3 Instrument Panel Lower Trim Panel
NOTE:

Prior to removing the lower trim panel from the carrier assembly, note the routing of the wiring harness to ensure proper reinstallation.

Procedure

  1. Disconnect all electrical connections.
  2. With the aid of an assistant, remove the trim panel from the vehicle.
  3. When replacing the instrument panel lower trim panel, transfer all necessary components.
