Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
  2. Remove the engine oil filter. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
  3. Remove Catalytic Converter - Left Side Catalytic Converter Replacement - Left Side
  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the bank 2 knock sensor (3).

  7. Loosen the knock sensor bolt and remove the knock sensor.
