Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 GMC Acadia, 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2016 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Verify that DTC U1826, U2142, C0292 or C0710 is not set.
- If the DTC is set, refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle .
- Verify that DTC C0287 4B is not set.
- If the DTC is set, refer to Vehicle Yaw Sensor Learn .
- Inspect the yaw and lateral accelerometer sensor for correct installation.
- If loose or incorrect installation is diagnosed, correct the installation of the component.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the yaw and lateral accelerometer sensor.
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down. Test for less than 10 Ω between the ground circuit terminal 6 and ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, test for B+ between the 12 V reference circuit terminal 5 and ground.
- If not within the specified range, test the 12 V reference circuit for a short to ground or open/high resistance.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw and lateral accelerometer sensor.
