Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 GMC Acadia, 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2016 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Verify that DTC U1826, U2142, C0292 or C0710 is not set.
  2. Verify that DTC C0287 4B is not set.
  3. Inspect the yaw and lateral accelerometer sensor for correct installation.
    • If loose or incorrect installation is diagnosed, correct the installation of the component.
  4. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the yaw and lateral accelerometer sensor.
  5. Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 min for all vehicle systems to power down. Test for less than 10 Ω between the ground circuit terminal 6 and ground.
    • If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuit for an open/high resistance.
  6. Ignition ON, test for B+ between the 12 V reference circuit terminal 5 and ground.
    • If not within the specified range, test the 12 V reference circuit for a short to ground or open/high resistance.
  7. If all circuits test normal, replace the yaw and lateral accelerometer sensor.
