Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 GMC Acadia, 2016 Chevrolet Traverse, and 2016 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, transmission in Park, disconnect the I/P Multifunction Switch connector.
  2. Install a 3 amp fused jumper between the Tow/Haul Switch signal circuit harness connector terminal 11 and ground. Verify the scan tool parameter changes between Active and Inactive each time the signal circuit is grounded.
    • If not the specified value, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage, short to ground, or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the BCM.
  3. If all circuits test normal, replace the Tow/Haul switch.
